Marco Ferrazza's work combines electroacoustic composition, live performance and free improvisation.

His research, starting from the first acousmatic pieces, turned towards an investigation of the possible narrative processes inherent in musical perception, deepening the analysis of individual sound units to explore their communicative potential through the modification of minimal structural elements.

The pleasure of research on the timbre and the organizational possibilities offered by sound editing remain however a fixed point, even if they take on different aspects based on the expressive context. From the more "intense" sounds of the acousmatic compositions we thus arrive at the minute, liminal (marginal) sounds of the most recent electroacoustic works.
